The big eyes of the character of the japanese animation are due to the influence of Disney's characters in Osamu Tekuza, who's considered "the father of manga".

Miss Kicki, 2009 movie Review.

Miss Kicki got like main characters to Kicki, a mature woman and Viktor, his teenager son, the relation between them is distant , cordial ... so much so that the spectator is not sure they're mother and son until past the thirty minutes of the film. Viktor , 17 years old,  does not have father and he has been raised by his grandmother.

The main theme of the film is, somehow, "relations", the tense relation between mother and son, Kicki and Viktor. The audacious, hilarious and unhappy relation that Kicki and Mr. Chang maintain for Internet, and the relation between Didi and Viktor the only one that succeeds.

It's really a good movie if you like drama and romanticism.

Mawaru Penguindrum (Anime)

An anime about penguins? WHAT!? I was itching with curiosity about this anime.

Our history begins with three brothers , Kamba , Shouma and his little sister , Himari. The three in a first moment seem to live a peaceful and complete existence at that odd showy colors house , but in reality it's not that way. Himari will die. Nobody knows how long exactly remains to her life, which is why both brothers try to give her all the that she needs and more in order that she be happy.

But not everything is lost. There's a possibility to be with life, thanks to a strange hat  that once in a while it takes possession of his body to give orders to the brothers, promising them that Himari will live if and when they find the Penguindrum.

The penguins appeared in their house after they know about himari is sick from a terminal disease.

Definitively, it's an anime that deserves an opportunity but unfortunately perhaps its surrealistic points are too surrealistic and let down somebody.

Horror Movies for the weekend

The Amityville Horror (1979) and The Changelling(1980), I kill two birds here not with one stone but pulling out its heads and sucking its little bones. Movies very representative of those years. Allright, now we can say "The typical film with a mansion possessed by strange entities" but in those years the movie was absolutely not typical. I still remember that image of ball taking the steps of stair down little by little,  one by one, portent so what it's going to happen at a house where, assuming, no one's live there.

The Thing (1982), for me the best one John Carpenter's film. Perfectly acclimatized, it tell us the terror story came from the space. I find some resemblances with "Invasion of the body snatchers". Distrust your buddy, he might not  be who you think

"One Piece" Chapter 65 sells 3 millions copies in only 2 months

Oricon announced that the Chapter 65 of One Piece reached the 3 millions of sold copies in only 2 months becoming the first manga getting this goal in so short time in Oricon's history.

The 8 previous One piece's mangas also got this quantity however none reach this goal in so short time, by the way this chapter is the first in printing a total of 4 millions of copies for his first edition, breaking the record off as the manga more printed for a first edition.

No doubt One Piece is beyond any prediction.
Good night fellows!

Archeological Cholula's zone

How's your day my friend?

Today I want to talk about traveling and it's about Cholula.
Cholula has always been a shrine, its pre-Hispanic epoch was dedicated to lodge indigenous ceremonials dedicated to Quetzacoatl and at a later time with the arrival of spanishes cholula was filled with churches, they say there are too many you can visit a different one for every day of the year.

From my point of view, one of the most interesting parts of journey in Cholula is the related to the native's fall, it was materialized in codices and it show us the way they were massacred by Hernan Cortes who was afraid to be attacked by them.

By the way, it's only allowed to climb up a reconstructed section of the great pyramid, to do that you have to got a good physical condition.

Cholula location is in Puebla, Mexico. The archeological zone is between San pedro and San Andres Cholula municipalities.

That's all, have a good day!

Horror Movie Accidents(or not) during filming

THE CROW

As the scene was being filmed, BrandonLee was killed after Michael Masse (Who's the one that played the villain funboy) fired the at lee as intended. The bullet unseated from a dummy round was lodged in the barrel of the handgun.

POLTERGEIST

All of the child stars from the Poltergeist films died suddenly within a few years of the films. Total 7 people died.
THE EXORCIST
Due to the accidental deaths and fires on set, and even supposed mental breakdowns from the young Linda Blair (Regan), some would say an actual demon was trying to stop the filming of this movie. Some rumours state that four nine people died during the fifteen month filming period. Jack McGowen had just wrapped up filming his small part for the film when he died of a heart attack and many more deaths. Also the girl who played the possed girl has forever back pain.

TWILIGHT ZONE. THE MOVIE

Quentin Tarantino's film | Inglorious Basterds (2009)

Plastic and caricatural. That comes up first to mind right after appreciating Inglorious Basterds, that young director impressed us in the 90 's with Reservoir Dogs(1992) and Pulp Fiction (1994). Tarantino's name went into being of cult and his films turned into an obligation to be seen. Few directors have had that privilege and Tarantino well knows it, which is why he allows to give himself divo's airs that little by little begin to exhaust .

But out of all the marketing that the native director of Tennessee likes to generate, find his work that over the years has grown inversely proportional between the expectations and his quality. Inglorious Bastards was announced with fanfares, but it did not attract the worldwide criticism attention very much. The film presents a curious and anecdotic history that manages to be innovative.

Nevertheless, the film has his strong points like Christoph Waltz's extraordinary interpretation who despite of exercising an outrageously caricatural character manage to establish an union with the credibility that the onlooker manages to appreciate.

A review about 'A Little History of the World'.

I've just read this book and I want to talk about it with you. The book is written by Ernest H. Gombrich, the book haven't many pages is thought for teenagers but anyone will enjoy and learn this books thanks to the informal style of the author.

It goes through all civilizations (Egyptian, Roman, Babylonian, Phoenician, Huns, Chineses, Aztec, European, Celtic and a long etc.). Definitively a didactic and easy reading book. I gave it a 9/10 perhaps it deserves a 10/10 save that at some passages the author heads to a German public besides the book just contemplate until the second World War.

It covers all the history, well narrated, with drawings, very didactic, for all the ages, absence of a very academic language. At the last chapter the author narrates second World War, becoming converted this chapter in a poetical shout and heartbreaking.

Simon Rumley's film | The living and the dead (2006)

So here's the situation: Your son is schizophrenic and your woman is sick, prostrate in bed, without could have looked after oneself. You live in an enormous mansion in complete decadence and isolated: A place in loneliness that already lived his better years. You must to go away of house during some days, as soon as you call to a nurse in order to get busy of your woman and of your son. Breakpoint: Your schizophrenic son wants to be useful and to become the man of the house during your absence, as soon as impede the access to the nurse. Quit of taking his medication, try to take care of his sick mother, removes the telephone, close up the doors and to depart of there, everything converts at a hell because of an effect domino itself than chain tragedies.

It is a VERY disquieting film. Rumley acclimatizes the history at a scene already in itself tortuous: So much for his isolated and the deficient status of the installations of a depressive mansion, whose big dimensions contribute to iciness, such rooms of empty spaces seem to be agonizing just like the characters's life. Total desolation. And at this place a family has scattered on the fatalism. The schizophrenic son leads us to ( and I say we because imagery drag us along, they implicate us ) the maximum madness, to the perception distorted of reality. It turns out to be very uncomfortable to see the suffering, the torment, of the sick mother in hands of his innocent son.

Simon Rumley seems to me a director with good aim to transmit unwholesome sensations. Here combine a staging calmed, of long diagrams, with sequences of set-up accelerated, maddening, that materialize the schizophrenic person's internal explosion.

You have to watch it and suffer it.

Everyone's Welcome
